Case Study

Criteria — Collection Showroom Installation

A showroom hang where every millimetre matters — sightlines, spacing and sequence curated to feel effortless. Our role: full placement, alignment and hardware strategy across a high-traffic design environment.

Criteria showroom installation by MAS

The Brief

Criteria required a showroom presentation that felt editorial yet robust — a collection display designed to support client walkthroughs, designer meetings and ongoing rotation of works.

The installation needed to read as intentional from every angle: clean lines, consistent heights, balanced spacing, and a flow that guided visitors through the collection without visual noise.

Our Role

MAS delivered full install planning and execution: wall mapping, layout optimisation, hardware selection, precision levelling and final styling adjustments in collaboration with the showroom team.

We also prepared the system for changeovers — so new works can be rotated with consistency and speed.

Challenges

  • Maintaining perfect alignment across multiple walls and sightlines
  • Balancing “gallery clean” with a functional, daily-used space
  • Mixed work weights requiring varied fixings and hardware
  • Ensuring consistency for future rotations and rehangs

Solutions

  • Laser mapping and spacing templates for uniform rhythm
  • Hardware matrix tailored per artwork weight + wall type
  • Final positioning refined in real-time with the team on-site
  • Repeatable hanging rules established for future swaps

Technical Approach

Showroom installs demand both aesthetics and endurance. MAS built the hang around repeatable standards: consistent centre-lines, stable fixings, and a layout structure that can evolve without losing its integrity.

  • Wall mapping + centre-line system for cohesion
  • Weight-rated hardware selection and testing
  • Spacing templates for visual rhythm
  • Future-rotation rules for ongoing consistency

Behind the scenes

“The installation elevated the entire showroom. The alignment, spacing and finish is exactly what we needed — premium, intentional, and built to handle a working design environment.”
